2024 RECYCLE REGATTA – TBD

We are working to reschedule the Regatta at this time. Stay tuned!

Join us for the annual Recycle Regatta! At 6:00-7:30 (potentially a bit later) we will be meeting at Jerusalem Mill. Jerusalem Mills is a wonderful historical park part of Gunpowder Falls State Park. https://jerusalemmill.org/ And we thank the Friends of Jerusalem Mills for welcoming us to use the grounds. It is located 20 mins North up Belair road. https://goo.gl/maps/WoLwNuzqeKoYpJs46

We will be racing our boats down the stream, rooting them on and seeing how they can take a few rapids. We will be needing some volunteers to help with the event:

Launch Technicians,
Boat catchers.
treat helpers.

You may be thinking, I don’t have a boat! This year we are creating our boats out of recycled materials. See the rules below:

Boats can be up to 10” long and 8” wide, and do not require sails as we will be floating these down the river at Jerusalem mills. The boats should not have any lose items and everything should be secured thoroughly.

Boats can be made out of any recyclable materials.

One last important note. This is not an aquatic event. Scouts will not be allowed to be in the stream during the event
due to BSA rules and safety guidelines. Please make sure your scouts are aware of this restriction.
